Overview

What exactly is video streaming? Video streaming is a method of displaying video over the internet. There are two different ways you can stream video over the internet. One is to stream it live. The DSU Webcam is an example of a live stream. The second method is to stream archived video on-demand. YouTube.com is an example of a site that utilizes on-demand video streaming.

Because DSU offers many online courses many of our instructors have chosen to record lecture videos to post online. The students can view them, on-demand, anytime they would like. DSU also streams all of the home athletic events live on the web to make it easier for the fans and alumni to watch a game if they are unable to attend.
